Lesley was born and bred in the Midwest – sometimes spending a lot of time in the Great Lakes
competing as a professional swimmer and triathlete. She was born in Milwaukee, raised in Cincinnati,
and graduated from Northwestern University with honors in Mechanical Engineering. In addition
to working at Burke America, Lesley is currently pursuing a Masters and PhD in Material Science
from Northwestern. At Northwestern, Lesley competed on the both the varsity swimming and
cross-country teams and was named to several Academic All-Big 10 teams. Additionally, she was
selected to the U.S. National Team and competed for our country at four Pan-American competitions
and World Championships. Lesley was awarded a Presidential Fellowship, the most prestigious
honor given by Northwestern University. At Burke America, she focuses on the operational growth
strategies of companies by combining her past engineering and operations experience at the
NanoBusiness Alliance. In her free-time, Lesley likes to relax, golf, and do a little running and
swimming in warmer waters than Lake Michigan.
